It had been Tag’s idea. Linda’s little brother was heading to college at the end of the summer and Linda had been taking him out on the weekends so he could get acquainted with the city. As soon as they had read the news about the race, Tag had been adamant about checking it out. Once there, the boy had been quick to make new friends and plans and so he and Linda agreed on meeting an hour after the event was over.
Linda made her way through the crowd, waving at a familiar face here and there – people she knew too well from their trips to the hospital. She was wondering if that man should have raced so soon after getting stitches when she came across a tall good looking man she recognized as one of the top racers. She couldn’t help stopping, wondering if she could get a quick autograph for Tag.
