Well, given the speed with which Sungmin had left Korea to begin with, he wouldn't have been surprised if Minki had moved away in the few weeks he hadn't been able to talk to him. He wouldn't have been surprised if his father had managed to make his mother his vice-president. A lot could happen in the world of politics in a few weeks.
