"The second one," Remus said to answer her inquiry about the book while he tugged down his full top. "You'd been reading a lot lately so I thought I might offer a little for your taste." And of course, he had to be predictable on doing it.
"There is talk, of course," he went on while he laid his napkin over his lap although he kept it away from covering his pocket entirely. "Talk and food, between the two of us." And before he could go on, a waiter had already approached them with three sets of menu on his arm. "But I suppose we ought to get that out of the way first."
"Are we expecting somebody else?" the jolly, chubby man asked with a bright smile.
"Yes we are, but we can start," Remus lied and he smiled at Lily as he said this. Besides, even if Sirius wasn't around, an extra seat made the affair look less like a date and more like dinner. "Would you like some appetisers to begin with, Lily?"
