For being about ten or eleven days away from the next full moon, Remus was starting to look white and dreary again -- but a smile was all it took to wash the years away from his face and he did just this when he found that Lily had arrived. "Hello there, Lily." Partly he was glad she accepted his invitation.
Although in hindsight, he though that she didn't quite have reason not to, anyway...but at least not yet. After all, there was an explanation why Remus had invited her out and not just anyone, too. That, and how he was keen to specify that if she should wish to come along with someone else, it should only be Sirius Black. Was she having suspicions, he wondered?
Remus had no doubt but he looked happy as he invited her to take a seat, a spot that was parted on the right by another ready chair for the imaginary Sirius who he figured wasn't invited along. But well, if he wanted free food, the chair was there for him.
Slipping his wand-strap back through his right arm, he asked, "Did you find the book I left you?" She most likely did but it was a good (if stupid) prompt for conversation.
