Simon's lips parted to point out he wasn't American, but what was he really? Osirian? So he shrugged it off and decided not to argue semantics. "It's nice to meet you, Joshua," Simon replied as he watched the other man attempt the phone again. Well, why not? If he'd come through with a phone, he would have tried the same thing.
"There's ... not much to tell. No one has any answers, at least not as far as I'm aware. Plenty of theories, but no one's been able to prove anything or find a way out." He paused. "There's a welcome center for ... for people like us. Who just arrived without ... anything."
He made a slight gesture in the direction it was before he shook his head. "I can take you there, if you want." He frowned slightly before realizing that maybe a few more details might be welcome. "This is New York, in 1964. On Earth," he added, but ... no, Joshua probably already knew that, since he'd asked about a landmark. Maybe he was from some version of Earth then.
