"Twenty-twelve," Ginny reported. "So ... significantly displaced." She wasn't at all surprised by the 'when' as opposed to a 'where'; the 'where' was fairly obvious from her accent, she thought. "Though apparently whatever or whoever is doing has no limit on how far into the future they're taking people from. I hear there are -- or were -- people from the space traveling future here."
She tilted her head. "What about you? Displaced or a native?" She had no idea what the actual terms were for people who had been drawn here, but displaced worked for her.
Ginny nodded a little, and she smiled. "Are you a reporter then?" It didn't seem like such a stretch to guess that. Armed with a pen and a notepad and waiting for a contact? "Or a detective," she amended. At least, she thought that was what they were called over here.
