She was rather cheery, Cloud thought, which wasn't at all so bad, at least it brightened up the quiet mart a little. And, he had someone to look sodas with now. It was definitely much better than going around the place, aisle to aisle, just for a couple of bottles.
"Okay," Cloud said with a nod as he watched her with her choices and then stood by, ready to follow her whenever she was good to go. He was looking through the part where she'd taken the dips from when a scatter of heels cracked beside him and he was pushed a step closer -- perhaps too close -- to the blonde lady and he turned behind him to see someone hurrying out the aisle, hunched and tightly possessive of her purse bag.
Cloud let her pass as he stepped back. "Sorry," he said.
