Lily was quick enough to recognize the signs of a newcomer, and she was both thrilled and devastated that yet another of her family members had been trapped here. Why was it never her James?
"It isn't London," she agreed as she released his hand once he was up. Though the fact that he recognized her was nice, it still left her guessing whether it was James or Albus before her. She tilted her head to peer at his eyes and saw her own looking back at her. "You'd be Albus then? Your mum's here, but she said you were six," Lily continued. "She'll be in for quite a surprise."
She thought he was taking it well, but then again, he might simply be in shock. She also realized they hadn't planned for grand children when they'd gotten the flat, and she couldn't offer him a room just yet. She'd have to run it by Sirius and Remus, and that was even if Albus wanted to stay with them. Which reminded her ...
"There are others here, from our world," she said. He wouldn't know any of them, she didn't think, then she shook her head. No, he'd know Neville, she was sure of that. He'd know of the others as well, even if most of them were dead long before he was born. "But this is New York, of 1964. No one knows quite how we got here, nor how to get back, and we are confined to the city and surrounding areas." It was best to get that out, she imagined, and she thought she'd stop with the information dump now and see which bits she needed to go back over.
