Friday was still the best day
Who: Jaime
What: Friday night out and about
When: Friday, it's Friday, gotta get down on Friday
Where: a bar in the city
Rating: Low
Status: Closed

She'd been living with Balthazar for nearly a week, and so far so good. She still had her giggle-snort moments when he surprised her with another display of domesticism, but that was to be expected. Of course he did laundry and dusted and grocery shopped and showered. She had teased him a little and pointed out he was fast losing his mystery around her, but she didn't think that was true -- or a bad thing even if it was.

When Friday night rolled around, she saw no reason not to keep up her usual activities. Friday nights were for bars, for dancing, for finding company for the night if things went that way. They did, more often than not, and the place situation hadn't changed in spirit. She still couldn't bring her company home, so she was still resorting to hotels or his place, wherever that might be.

Jaime had made sure to hide the key carefully in front of the store so she'd be able to let herself back in. Balthazar was her friend, and seemed to enjoy her presence (or at least tolerate it cheerfully), but she couldn't imagine he'd be thrilled if she woke him up at some pre-dawn hour because she was locked out.

Clad in one of her usual Friday night outfits (a short, snug skirt, a low-cut top, and heels), Jaime made her way to one of her favorite clubs. The drinks were strong, the company was usually good, and she had a decent view of the door wherever she sat. Or stood. Or danced. Ensuring her money was tucked carefully in the inner pocket of her skirt (along with her ID), she made her way inside, looking for someone interesting -- or waiting for someone interesting to notice her.
