Fuel efficiency had been a big thing where he came from, and Pops had never been one to waste anything, a sentiment he passed on to his sons. The 9 was designed to make the most out of what she had, and could get three weeks of travel from a full tank of gas. Rex was lucky there were other cars he could drive while his own was out of commission.

"If you got time to work on it, and all the right parts, should only take three, four days, tops." He paused slightly, before continuing. "I can give you a hand, if you like. Hook you up with some spare parts. I don't usually work on bikes, but I know my way around one."

It might've come across blunt, and to a complete stranger no less, but it was a genuine effort to help – there was nothing sadder than a beautiful machine that wasn't able to run.
