The Tenth Doctor ([info]lonely_god) wrote in [info]silverage,
Rather than answer immediately, the Doctor held his tongue and watched his current companion's reaction to the idea that they were trapped on the whim of someone or something that had been intentionally collecting people the way millionaires collected houses and cars. She was angry, no doubt of it, and he found himself smiling faintly as he thought, Here I am again, bumping into another ginger with a temper. It was becoming a habit, and not one he particularly minded.

"Oh, I expect one day we'll find a way home. These things have a way of sorting themselves out." After all, somehow, the timelines in his own universe had continued as they were meant to despite the removal of people from his past to New York, and it seemed that, eventually, he too would be returned right back to the time and place from which he'd been sidetracked, as his future self not only existed, but recalled no deviation from the path that had been prophesied for him.
