"Well, I'm sure not everyone noticed," she assured him with a little smile. "Just that path of destruction you left in your wake," she added with a teasing wink. Honestly, maybe she had only imagined, but something about him had suggested a less than pleasant mood.

She shook her head and shrugged to his apology. "It's all right. How's that working for you, by the by? The mood shaking," she clarified before she turned her attention back toward the scenery. If any place could kill a bad mood, it would probably be here.

Then again, some moods just couldn't be shaken because they needed to be dealt with at the roots. "If it's something you'd care to talk about, I'd be willing to listen," she offered.
