Mystique (formerly Raven Darkholme) ([info]mutant_proud) wrote in [info]silverage,
[Don't mind me, just watching you two...]
Raven paced the familiar halls of the mansion, like she used to do when she couldn't sleep growing up. The house was louder now, with more people in it besides herself and Charles. So many of them were unfamiliar, pulled out of time like Kurt. There was one person whose presence she still hadn't figured out, though. Erik. She'd left the Brotherhood's headquarters not so long ago, leaving a note for the man who somehow was here, collecting young mutants with Charles, as though Cuba had never happened.

As she came to an open window that looked out onto the terrace with the satellite dish looming in the distance, the sound of voices caught her attention. There was the high, pleasant sound of a girl, and a deeper, more serious voice. Erik's voice. Stopping at the window, Raven watched him talk to the green-haired girl she didn't know. And, while seeing him here was as strange as she'd imagined it would be, she had to admit it suited him. She saw the natural way he spoke to this girl, and though Raven couldn't hear what he said, the girl was intently listening to him like a faithful student would listen to a teacher. Raven sat on the window ledge and watched the pair of them silently, not wanting to interrupt the moment.
