Balthazar paused for a beat and blew out a disappointed sigh, "I didn't think you knew about the demon raising I did. So much for that surprise," he shook his head before allowing a wry grin to touch his lips.

He arched a brow when she dismissed him with a gesture, but he decided not to fight it and instead just shook his head once more before he turned to leave her room. "Welcome to the madness," he called over his shoulder before letting himself out, pulling her door shut behind him.
