"Few days," Logan said. He studied the man, and was intrigued more than anything else. If the guy had been here for four years, maybe he had some insight on the whole being trapped thing. "Came down from Canada, on my way ..."

He shrugged. He didn't know where he'd been headed. Around, until somewhere had caught his interest. Until something spoke to him. Maybe until something triggered a memory.

"Turns out I can't leave," he said, brows elevating in silent question, hoping that would prompt ... something. An explanation, commiseration, some hint as to what the general population thought about it. Maybe some clue as to what this man ... really was.
