Logan's nostrils flared as he caught an unfamiliar scent. For a moment he had the impression of something dead, and his nose wrinkled briefly as he glanced in the direction he thought it was coming from. He really couldn't place the scent exactly; it was similar to a lot of things but exactly like none of them which caused him to regard the man a little more intently than he otherwise would have. He'd gotten very good at keeping to himself, keeping a low profile, and minding his own business, but this whole situation was beyond his scope of experience.
When the guy glanced in his direction, Logan offered him a nod, meeting his eyes squarely but briefly before he turned his gaze away, tapping the ash off the end of his cigar again. He figured if the guy was interested in talking (or if he'd come over here to talk), he would.
He shifted his weight enough to make himself look a little more open to being approached. Rather than hunching over the bar as he had been, he straightened a little and angled himself toward the nearby stranger. He wondered which of them was going to break the ice, and Logan wondered if his own curiosity was going to get the best of him and cause him to ask the first question. Something harmless, something mundane. Something not telling at all.
