Now In 22 Dimensions!
Who: The TARDIS and... the TARDIS. And OPEN!
What:
Where: The room Amy put her in aboard the proper TARDIS
When: After waking up>
Rating/Status: TBD and OPEN

She wasn't used to waking up. Even less so than she was at sleeping. Human bodies were so fragile, it was amazing they accomplished anything at all. Such delicate things. So...

"Oh, what is that word?"

It took a few moments for her to recognize the room. Of course it was hers, one of the older designs... or one of the newer ones? It was difficult to measure time when one existed throughout all of it. She'd made the room from the outside, so being inside of it was entirely new.

She was sitting up. Interesting. The body seemed to have some instinct of its own. That would be good, and allow her to consider other things than trying t keep it in motion. The rest had proved useful, in a way. The body she was in was just as fragile as the others, and it wasn't tolerating her presence well. Perhaps she could use some of her energy into repairing it...

The walls suddenly scolded her. She blinked and tilted her head, listening. "Don't take that tone with me," she said, snapping back. "It certainly wasn't my idea to be in here."

There was no audible response, but the walls responded as lights in the control room flickered oddly.

"You won't like it when you're me, either. Stop complaining and let's bloody well manage. Goodness, I already sound like one of them."

Another moment passed. Then the woman smiled. "What an excellent idea. I am brilliant, aren't I?" Then, crossly, she added, "Of course you're brilliant, you'll be me. You were me. Oooooo, let's just have it done." She slid off the bed and pressed both hands to the wall. A gentle golden glow shimmered in the air around her, and then began to pour from her hands, directly into the walls. The properly-shaped TARDIS drew in the extra energy, and the woman-shaped one began to breathe easier, as though being relieved of a heavy burden. The glow filled the room for several minutes, and then the woman stepped back. Her steps were more fluid, her eyes blinking as the golden light began to fade. "Ah. That's much better."

Martha loved being back on the TARDIS. Everything felt like it might be getting back a little to normal with the Doctor around. His companions were something else, and big as the TARDIS was, she hadn't met any of the others besides Donna.

The TARDIS was doing something weird though, and Martha was off in search of Donna or the Doctor. She passed by a room that was glowing and then she heard a voice from inside.

"Hello?" Martha said, knocking on the door. "Hello? Is everything all right in there?"

She certainly hoped so. She didn't know what to do when the TARDIS freaked out and started glowing and someone might be ... trapped inside her. All the protocols he'd gone over when they were in 1913, and this, surprisingly, hadn't been on the list. Nor had 'falling in love with a human that wasn't her' but she was - surprisingly - starting to get over it. The Doctor was never going to like her like that, it was stupid to pretend he would, and if she could get out, she would. But since they were all stuck, might as well get over it and make the most of it right? Which included attempting to deal with glowing rooms.

She pulled the door open and blinked at the woman. This was a stay she recognized by name, given the number of protocols and specifications the Doctor had given involving this one. "Martha Jones," she said as the last of the glow faded from her eyes. "You took excellent care of me." Then she blinked in apparent surprise. "Took? Past tense, as proper. Current year is 1964, while events with the Family occurred in 1913. Is it still the past tense for you?"

The woman's eyes glowed, and it was eerie, but lucky for Martha, she was used to all sorts of things by now. "Took care of you?" she said, frowning. "No, we haven't crossed paths yet. But yes, I've been through The Family. Was just getting started with the Angels when ... well, when I came here."

She looked the woman over, trying to see if anything triggered a memory she might have forgotten with The Family. Nothing was ringing a bell. "I'm not sure what tense I qualify as right now, to be honest," she laughed. "But you! Where are you from?"

Another tilt of her head. It was oddly birdlike, just hinting at inhuman. "I care for you now. We're in me now. An aspect of me, but still me, though this universe must be an abnormal and impressive construct if it can contain a duplex array of eleven dimension matrices, but I have considered the problem of so much vortex energy within a flesh body, and have engaged myself to normalize power levels in order to preserve this body. It is a rather unique opportunity."

She smiled now, and said, "Hello, Martha Jones. I'm the TARDIS."

Martha was beyond confused. The TARDIS? "Like, the Doctor's TARDIS?" she clarified, realising that made her sound exceptionally stupid. "You can be a person too? How does that even work?"

She looked the woman over, up and down. She seemed human. But so had the Doctor. "Eleven dimension matrices? I was just going to get a cup of coffee ..."

She smiled. "That's me. I was pulled away from my box when an alien asteroid wished to consume the energy I held, but couldn't outright destroy me without ripping a hole in the universe. This body was dying, but now I have acquainted myself with my former self, and we seem to have resolved the power issue. Now I believe I can sustain myself for a time in this shape."

Her smile widened, eyes lighting with excitement. "I've always wanted to see the universe. Do you think, in this form, I could see it the way my thief does?"

Martha really hoped that the woman wasn't actually crazy, and was just Doctor-crazy. That would explain it. She did smile genuinely at the woman, "That's excellent! I'm glad you're not dying. Too much dyin' already with the Doctor."

Sure, he'd taken her to see the moon landing a few other fine places, but the family of blood was still heavy on her mind. Angels that didn't actually kill you but killed you weren't too exciting either - getting zapped here instead of wherever the angels wanted to live her to death was much better.

She tipped her head, "I guess, we can go see New York. Not really the Universe, but close enough for now. The thief ... is that the Doctor? And what should I call you? I don't think I can call you TARDIS out there."
