Sirius made an insulted noise, looking down at her with an arched brow. “Excuse you. I’ve got your back for at least forty five minutes,” he countered before breaking out into a grin, shrugging his shoulders.
Before he started to speak again, he made sure to clear the grin off his lips, “Not just goofy. You wouldn’t remember, of course, because it hasn’t happened for you yet, but you had four last Christmas and ended up giving us all lap dances,” he relayed his cautionary tale rather convincingly, but he didn’t actually expect Lily to believe it. It would be hilarious if she did, though.
Briefly he wondered if he should ask her if she wanted him to stick with her the whole time. He wouldn’t go chasing skirts if she wanted to spend the evening with him, but he supposed they could just play it by ear.
