Logan shifted to shove the box over with one foot, though he was careful about it. No sense in showing off, right? "Dunno exactly," he replied before he shrugged. "Burned somethin' out, I guess." Riding hard for the past few days had probably done it. That, and the slide on the sand that had wound them both scraping across the pavement, but no real need to get into that. He'd recovered but it had likely rattled something loose in the bike.
He glanced up toward the kid who had asked about the time, and figured the guy was working on his bike. He jerked his chin slightly toward the bike. "Where'd you get somethin' like that?" He asked. Mostly to fill the silence, but partly out of curiosity. If he was going to chat, it could at least be about something he'd find the responses to interesting.
Question asked, he returned his attention to tinkering, the light tap-tap-tap of the hammer almost delicate-sounding.
