Don chuckled a bit. He had believed she was being sincere for several moments before she clarified - not that he believed she was magical, but sincere nonetheless. He took a puff of his cigarette.
"An actress," he finally replied. "That's what I could see you as. Sing much?"
It was true - she was beautiful in a very classic, "Broadway baby" sort of way. He hadn't ever been a big fan of the stage. Clients would invite him occasionally, and often he found that Betty had a great love for them, but aside from seeing the brief scene from "Bye Bye Birdie", he hadn't kept up much with what was going on in the theater world.
Yet somehow this girl's appearance and attitude spoke of theatrics to him. He added, "You could certainly take a nice turn as Eliza in 'My Fair Lady'"
