Ginevra Molly Potter ([info]bat_bogeys) wrote in [info]silverage,
"Well, that's good to know. At home, depending on where you are, the snow can get pretty bad," she admitted. "This isn't anything." She just hadn't been prepared for the weather, that was all. While she did wonder what he'd been about to say, she thought it wasn't worth pushing for. He'd clearly changed his phrasing, so she'd let it go.

"I'm sorry I had to arrive at all," she countered. "I'd much rather be home with my husband and children." She smiled a little at the way he said not to say she'd been spirited away, and she shrugged before continuing. "I'd just let my daughter out to play in the backyard and was going to flop back onto the couch when I landed in an alley instead." Ginny saw no reason at all to hide it. Why Lily was pretending she was a native was beyond her, but there it was. She wondered if people had already figured it out and just had been too polite to call her on it.

Not that it mattered either way. "So, here I am. Fortunately enough, a few of ... I know some people here from ... my world, so I'm not completely alone." Granted, they were all younger than she'd known them and dead in her time, but they were here at familiar, so there was that. "So right now, I'm looking for a job since that seems to be the thing to do when one is randomly dumped into a strange place in the past."
