"No worse than the picture I would have come up with on my own if it's true," Lily assured her. "I really don't ... spend that much time talking with them." Pleasantries, sure, but Lily was still maintaining the mentality that the less said about herself, the better. At least for now. She really wasn't sure how they'd take knowing what she was. What she really was.
"It's all right," Lily replied softly. "For what it's worth, I prefer your company to theirs so far." Peggy was the sort she thought she could be friends with. She reminded her a little of some of her girlfriends from school, and she felt a little pang as she wondered how they were. If they were surviving the war. If she asked Sirius, how many of them would he tell her were dead?

Exhaling softly, Lily settled herself down and got ready to work since that was what she'd come in for, though she certainly didn't mind the break from her routine, and she was perfectly set to defend her where-abouts if it came to questioning.
