"Lily," Peggy repeated, making sure to seal it in her memory. She wasn't going to be one of the ones who only remembered the names of the attractive secretaries or the ones with the the best dresses. That she went through that much effort at all should have endeared the women in the office to her, she would have thought.
"Hard candies... we did a campaign for Wrigley a few months ago. There's probably something left over in the kitchen." If only because the girls were the ones who used the kitchen and half of them were so concerned about their weight that they wouldn't have dared touch anything from Wrigley. "I can show you. The kitchen's just a door down." She'd been standing in front of the supply room and the kitchen wasn't much further.
She couldn't help a slight roll of the eyes when it was noted that Lily had been walked by her office, but that no one had bothered ti introduce them. She shouldn't have been surprised-- after all, she hadn't even been offered a secretary. She was always sneaking work onto the section of the pool dedicated to work for Paul, Ken, and Pete.
Peggy started taking short steps towards the kitchen. "This way," she said. "The notes aren't very long, I promise, and if you have something else to do." --something from one of the men-- "I won't keep you from it for too long. I know how difficult it can be during your first week."
