She hesitated slightly at his question as she tried to work out the best way to answer it. "Proficient when I'm focused," she finally replied. When she was in a temper, the spells never quite worked right if she didn't say the word out loud. When she was focusing on it though, she managed just fine.
"I don't plan on being in a mood for what I intend this for though," she said as she set the plates on the table, glancing to him once but otherwise doing a fair bit of not looking herself. It was ... weird, but she supposed she'd just take her cues from him and they'd get through it. Maybe all he intended was to teach her, and she supposed that would have to be enough.
