Lily still wasn't sure what, exactly, was up with this, and she knew she'd be a little defensive if she didn't watch herself -- so she made an effort to do that. No one here but Don was Don, and she shouldn't well be taking out her irrational irritation on anyone but him.
That was going to be difficult to accomplish since she was avoiding him. Or had intentions of avoiding him, and they all knew what they said about the best laid plans. Another confrontation was all but inevitable at some point, but it was a personal battle, and not one she needed to share with anyone else.
"It's nice to meet you, Miss Kyle," Lily replied. She did feel a little shabby beside the other woman, but there was nothing at all to be done about that. Not yet, at any rate. Maybe once she'd saved up some, she'd be able to afford some decent clothing. For now though, she'd just make due with what she had.
Lily simply hoped she could manage to keep up with the work aspect of things, since that was the important part. But she was certain she'd be taught and instructed before they threw her to the proverbial wolves. With nothing much else to say yet -- she was sure she'd have questions once they got started -- Lily waited for Selina to lead on.
