"I imagine if we run across any Death Eaters it would be our sworn duty to dispatch them," Lily agreed, though she wondered if that was truly going to be an issue -- aside from the one that had apparently come through with him. She certainly hadn't seen any.
Lily shook her head at the mention of Severus. "You should just ... leave him be," she murmured. "Unless he starts something, there's no reason to start with him." There was no reason, really, they even had to see one another, though the thought of that made her sad. There was no reason he needed to be alone in this place -- but she also couldn't see him regarding an offer of friendship from her or Remus with anything but hostility and suspicion.
Her expression shifted slightly, sorrow briefly visible in her eyes before she sighed softly. No matter. It was done. They weren't friends, he wanted nothing to do with her, and she wasn't going to push anything unless she saw a reason to and she couldn't imagine him giving her one.
