r. lupin ([info]tufty) wrote in [info]silverage,
"I couldn't!" Remus finally laughed although soft enough so that only he and Lily heard it. "There was just something wrong about telling someone my name was Severus Snape in the board, not when everyone could read it! If a Death Eater had read that I was named Severus, they would seek me out, I imagine." So now, he vowed never to mention his or Severus' name in reference to himself on the board.

"But with just one person, it seemed much easier. After you, there was a woman who found my note and left me a response. Her name is Selina Kyle, and I suppose I can say that she was the one who saved me when I arrived here." He was yet to repay her for her good help. "At that time, I was scared and hurt, I'd splinched my fingernails and I was," Remus shook his head, "an embarrassing mess. That was how I decided that she couldn't know my real name. Severus Snape was the first thing that popped in my head, a name I could freely use without damaging my friends and loved ones."
