"We're in the papers?" She wasn't sure why she hadn't picked up on that, or maybe she simply hadn't seen the right edition. She wasn't much of a paper reader, even at home, and she'd really only used them here to check for jobs.
"By which I mean, yes. I showed up here ... not quite a week ago. It's been a very busy few days," she reflected. She'd met all sorts of people, made a scene in an office, and still hadn't found a job. She exhaled softly at that thought, but ... she'd find something. Sooner or later. "It's lovely to meet you, Susan," she replied, a bit belatedly.
"Where are you from? Or ... when? I'm not sure I'd necessarily know a where," she admitted. Geography wasn't her strong suit, and while she had a general idea of where most of the big places were ... well.
