It was ridiculous. Or she was. Who got lost in a park? She was absolutely certain she'd passed by that fountain at least half a dozen times, and she was getting no closer ... well, home. Not that she considered the welcome center home, but it was her home while she was here.
She'd thought she was so clever, thinking she'd just take a quick jaunt to the park, have a look around, and then head back. She'd gotten distracted looking at things, losing track of time in the process, and it wasn't until she noticed she was losing the light that she thought she should head back. Unfortunately, that was when the whole getting lost bit came into play.
Eager to find her bearings and find the entrance she'd come in through, Lily looked around. Spying someone on a nearby bench, she headed over in that direction. She was somewhat wary of talking to strangers, especially male strangers, but her options were to ask for directions or continue to wander about in the dark. Once she was within comfortable speaking distance, she paused. "Excuse me," she said softly. "Can you help me?"
