He laughed, louder than he intended. Her response wasn't even that funny, but he felt the need to be clever and amiable. He couldn't pin-point why, and although it made him incredibly uncomfortable he also couldn't make himself pull away and walk out. He wanted to stay near her and that unnerved him too. His Torchwood instincts told him to leave.
But he remained there.
"No," he replied, shaking his head. "Nothing so interesting. I just did the filing, brought coffee. Simple things. It's what I do for Tony too. I make his appointments, file his paperwork, ensure he's happy. It's not really glamorous, I'm just good at taking care of people."
