Don shrugged. Maybe he was being a little contradictory, but they were talking about ice cream, after all."It's hard to give bad advice about sweets," he said just as the waitress arrived with the bowl. He took the spoon, and without warning, ladled it onto Lily's pie.

"Okay, try that," he said, more of an order than a request. Without waiting for her to do so, he scribbled another thing down in his notebook. Rude though he may have been, working while he was sitting down at lunch with a pretty girl, he needed to work, after all. Ideas came so few and far between these days.

"How is it?" he asked, baiting her.

"Give me something good,"
