Lily Evans ([info]just_lily) wrote in [info]silverage,
"Should I not have invited you then?" She replied as she drew her plate closer to herself to ensure he had room to put his coffee and whatever else down on the table, if he was inclined. She did wonder how she was supposed to act here. She was looking at fourteen years in her past, and in the States, so she reasoned she was doing any number of things 'wrong' per the current social and cultural clime.

She also wasn't completely settled enough to tease and flirt like she otherwise might have. Harmlessly, of course; she was engaged after all, even if her fiance wasn't here, and even if she might never see him again. Those were not thoughts she wanted to have right now though, so she forced them away as she focused her emerald eyes on him.

"A couple of days," she replied to his question. "Long enough to get an idea of the place, but not so long as to be settled and comfortable with the area. Still ... getting my feet wet, such as it was," she continued before she extended one hand across the table to him. "Lily Evans," she introduced herself, mostly because she'd like a name in return so she wasn't thinking of him as 'the guy'.
