"I wasn't about to," Locke said -- just so -- when the lady insisted that Doctor would come back for her. Really, leave a woman in distress with a bunch of shameful things (that's how it looked to him), that wasn't a very nice thing to do.

But he was attentive to her words, brows arching and himself nodding. Sure, not wandering off seems like a sound plan, a lot of his friends lived by that code, too...until a raging behemoth sniffs out their tent and starts going crazy, that is! When she made mentions of some enchanted thing called a "key" he apparently just so happened to have procured, though, Locke lifted a brow at her and flourished his empty hand. Nothing. What key was she talking about?

He was going to admit, he was a little disappointment. The act barely lasted a second but alas, it was probably wet fingers. She may have caught him but Locke wasn't going to be caught admitting it!

And then she'd said it: choco-whatsit.

"A Chocobo," Locke noted suspiciously -- and then his cheeks were drained of color and his eyes grew when he realized that this woman didn't know what a Chocobo was. "Hold it right there, you don't know what a Chocobo is?" Impossible! Anyone who didn't know those big yellow birds would be dumber than a new babe! "W, what about Maranda? Or Jidoor, do you know where they are?" He'd just come from Maranda and was on his way to Jidoor before he wound up in this exciting misadventure.

Oh God. Oh God, he couldn't have gotten himself lost, could he?!
