"Sure, I am!" Locke beamed at Amy. He'd always been quite proud of his career and he made sure everyone knew of it. Scratching his head, he said, "It's funny how you think it's fantasy but...for me, it isn't. For me it's a way of life. Maybe like...the things you and Doctor do. That sounds really out there for me but you talk about like it's just eating cheese, y'know?
"Kinda like you, I go to new places to explore, and most of the time, you don't know what creeps lay out there so you gotta be ready for them." He paused for a beat. "I...guess if I put it that way, this whole getting lost in a city shouldn't be new to me. But that's not the case now..."
Locke wouldn't be caught admitting it, not with a wide smile on his face, but he was a little frightened and he knew it was alone. Amy's touch was much appreciated, and he thanked her for her promise. Maybe she really could get him home. Or at least just show him the way back.
"N, no really, you can take the bed, y'know?" Locke said to her and made sure he didn't add "I'm a man, I can take care of myself" because the last time he did that, the women he was with didn't look very happy and they could fry people in a single glare. "Amy, really," he said to her but before he knew it, she was fast asleep in the arm chair. He snorted softly. "Well, don't blame me if you wake up strained..." he muttered to himself.
He glanced at the window to see that the rain had let up a little, but it was still persistent. Sighing quietly, he got up and padded soundlessly towards the bathroom. Might as well get a little cleaned before he went to bed...
