A man with a rod?! Locke gasped. Could he actually know magic?! Because if he does, fantastic! He could really use a magician in his side right now!
"Yeah!" he called to his new friend down there, still dangling. "I just...let me just..." he looked around him. But let him just what?! A man of his profession, he supposed he couldn't really help it if he would constantly look for a platform for him to fall on. The last time Locke didn't, he ended up with more than a couple of broken bones.
He could still hear the Malboro slithering where he'd left it and he couldn't begin to imagine what could happen to the man he'd left there. Hopefully he would be strong enough to take himself to safety. As for Locke, he looked down to the younger brunet and called, "Okay! I'm gonna count to three and drop myself! I'm counting on you, okay?!" He took breath. "One!" he began... "Two!" This is it...!
"Three!" Taking courage, he let go of the edge and followed the pull of gravity.
