Her head was beginning to pound dully. It was almost worse than the sharp pain in her chest. At least that was easier to pinpoint. She removed her hood and fluffed out her hair, sighing.
"Welcome to New York City, kid," she replied with a small smile, "I'm not sure what else to tell you. Those fireworks would've been a big hit a couple of weeks ago," she added.
She began to re-wrap her whip around her waist. This kid didn't really seem like a threat. And suddenly with a start, the pain kicked back in - she let out a soft groan, clenching her teeth. It passed, and she added with a sigh, "At least you're uptown. You could've wound up in Hell's Kitchen and not met someone quite as nice as me,"
