locke cole ([info]lockecole) wrote in [info]silverage,
Something had slipped out from the back of his bandana, just through the knot that held it in place and Locke knew that it was the ring he'd found. Still, no one would have realized that it really was him, what with the unchanged expression he wore as if nothing had fallen out of his head.

But it didn't seem like it was just that ring that had left his personage. His three others -- the ones he'd borrowed from his friends, gosh -- waiting snuggly in his utility pack for when he would need them had also flown out (how Locke knew this, even he didn't understand) and that one he was wearing by his right ring finger had joined the rest of his siblings although that hadn't even parted an inch from him when he'd caught it nice and tight. He could feel it resisting against his palm, though...

With a push of his thumb, he slipped it into his glove while he continued to glare at the policeman who may have been about ready to melt under the interested gazes of those that surrounded him. "Well?" he continued to provoke while at the corner of his sight, he could see that woman by the bench returning to her...well, bench. Why she ever left her perch, he didn't know. But that was what made her interesting to him...that and the fact that she came from the direction where his ring flew.

How a ring can fly, he didn't know...but you never know with these women and magic!

Eventually, the policeman was placated, and this was all to Locke's relief. Blushing, and dropping his shoulders, he muttered to him, "I must have mistaken you, Sir. Sorry."

"Good!" Locke said authoritatively, "'cause I'm late for my date!" The smaller man wished him a good evening and the crowd dispersed as Locke turned his attention to the woman by the bench and beamed at her, waving his right. "Hey! Sorry to keep you waiting..."

If she took his rings then good, if not, well, she can work as a bluff.

He slipped his ring back to his finger as he closed the distance between the two of them. Then resting his weight on a leg and pressing his fist on his side, he said to the lady, "Now I don't know how you did it, or why you did it, but I would very much want my rings back now, please."
