"Your area of expertise is explaining the odd and unusual?" The witch asked, not without amusement. All the same, Amy's infectious want for adventure only served to spur on Tonks' own. She tugged her key out of her pocket, opening the door to the very simple room that she was staying in. At least until she got home, or on her feet. Whichever happened first, she imagined.
"Too right!" She exclaimed excitedly, not bothering to close the door. "I asked for the landlord but Millie -- the girl at the desk? Myterious like her, but seemingly nice. I dunno. -- said that he's very busy. Every time I ask." She looked around the room and then looked over to Amy in more excitement. "There are papers, yeah? Bureaucracy's gotta be the same no matter the area. We need forms and the lot..They public record, you think?"
As Tonks pondered this, feeling rather like Martin the Mad Muggle trying to sleuth out the existence of magic, the chameleon continued its journey from the stair with the other woman. It crawled along the walls, so Donna could keep sight of it, floating like a will o'the wisp when the walls separated for hallways. At the door that was open, it shrunk into an undiscernible and small ball of light, making a zippy left inside the door before disappearing altogether. Having done its job in guiding Donna over, it wasn't needed anymore.
