technogalen ([info]technogalen) wrote in [info]silverage,
Galen had gone to the local airfield out of curiosity. He had heard about what passed for aircraft in one of his trips to the library, mostly out of curiosity to see if there might be anything he could use to recharge the engines of his ship. He became fascinated by the technology. There were still air-breathing winged craft in 2267, but these were so primitive, and yet they flew.

He had walked the line of parked aircraft, pausing occasionally to peer into a window at the, for him, antique instrumentation. Finally, he turned toward the hanger area to see if he could find a mechanic or some such and look at the inner workings of one of these 'airplanes'.

Coming toward him was a sort of roughly dressed older man. Galen ran a passive scan on him as a matter of course, and was surprised to see he was linked by lines of energy to a separate energy source of some sort that looked somewhat like a hazy ghost of a rabbit.

Intrigued, he raised one hand in greeting. "Good afternoon, sir. Are you a pilot of one of these aircraft? I've been hoping to get a look inside one, and maybe even arrange a ride."
