Characters: Jackson Corner and Alastor Moody Date: Sunday 7 January, 1979 Setting: Aces Bar Content: Language probably Summary: Moody gives Jackson tips on how to pick up Morgana women? Status: Incomplete
Sometimes, Jackson cursed his mouth. He’d kept the secret of the first love of his life secret from, well, everybody. As far as most people were concerned, his first and last love had been his wife, who tragically passed away when Jasper was only a few years old. Jackson still felt guilt over her relationship with Alison; he loved her, but not in the way he’d loved Morgana Yaxley. For Morgana, he would have given up everything, and very nearly did. But Alison gave him Jasper.
Morgana coming back into his life… now there was something he’d never expected. Dreamed of, maybe, but he’d always known there was no chance of high, posh, proper Morgana Burke slumming with Jackson Corner.
But to slip and admit to his best bud that Morgana was the painter? The woman he rhapsodized about when he was drunk as a skunk? Yep. That was utterly brilliant, considering she was Moody’s sister-in-law. He knew he was putting Moody in a spot, to ask for tips on how to land her, but Moody owed him for taking all the heat on announcing to the Initiative participants that the trip was still on, even after the attacks.
Jackson ran a hand through his hair, hopefully dislodging the last of the ashes from the Howlers that had found him at home. Even Morgana had jumped on him. "You owe me," he said as they slid into a booth in the back. He'd fallen off enough barstools to plan ahead for what was sure to be four too many drinks. "For all the shit owls I've gotten today and telling you about Morgana."
