November had been quite the turning point for Remus. The month had begun with Lily finding out his secret in the worst possible way. Their relationship was still tense, still uncertain, but it was getting better. Then there was Sirius. Apparently their disagreements and miscommunication was entirely normal. Who was he to argue otherwise? Sirius knew more about these things than he did. Plus, he was still very much gushing about the extent he would go to make his feelings known. The bookshop visit had been over-the-top and so very Sirius. He liked this type of normalcy.
The only dark spot on the horizon was Regulus. He knew--Remus wasn't sure how he knew, but somehow Regulus had some evidence. James was in on the secret and Remus knew it was a ticking time-bomb. If Sirius found out that they were hiding it... Well, Remus had to know why Regulus was hiding it. He had to know if there was a reason, a purpose, to let the secret slip and yet do nothing about it. If Regulus had no intention of outing him, then there was no problem with keeping Sirius in the dark... Right?
He groaned to the ceiling of the tent before padding outside. The one person he wanted to speak to this about was Sirius. It seemed, however, he would have to deal with the other Black brother.
"We need to talk," Remus said as he approached Regulus. "In private."
