Marco's smile warmed up a little at Chloe's protesting, and he tried not to laugh as he took the fidget spinner back. "Hey, you can come back and play with it again another day, cool?" he said, holding his fist out to the kid to give her a little fist bump.
He nodded up at Grace, the same thought briefly crossing through his own mind, as well. "Yeah! I'll be there, with cookies, and maybe the kibble," he grinned. "And thanks again for the food. Tonight, I mean, not on Sunday... Um... Yeah! This is better than the sandwich I brought. Oh! Did you want me to let the boss know you came by?"
