Sometimes she forgot what talking to Marco was like. She didn't see him on a daily basis, and she didn't exactly visit the station as much anymore since the divorce. It took effort to keep up with the ramblings, the questions that she wasn't entirely sure he wanted or needed answers to. Grace kept glancing toward Chloe to make sure her daughter was still occupied with the fidget spinner and not wandering to other desks.
"Everything's fine. I just mean chaotic like, work and Chloe and house projects, and... well, life," she said with a small laugh. "I thought about bringing some pulled pork to the barbecue, so we'll see. I like feeding people, so it's not inconvenient for me." Grace motioned to the bag of food he held. "And I don't think you're required to bring anything to the barbecue, but if you want to I'm sure chips or cookies will always be welcome. Or... ketchup. You can never have too much ketchup."
