Her brows rose briefly once she realized she had absolutely no idea if kids liked fidget spinners. Did she even know what a fidget spinner was? Chloe was already at Marco's desk grabbing the aforementioned toy. Or... maybe they weren't toys, she wasn't sure, but it looked harmless and Chloe was already flinging it around her finger, begging her mom to watch as it twirled. Grace did, of course, but still smiled at Marco before releasing a soft laugh at his choice of words. Both of them.
"It's okay. I don't think she heard you. And honestly, she's probably heard worse from me at home when I've stubbed my toe on something. I just beg her not to tell her dad she heard certain words from me." Kids liked to repeat things they heard from their parents. They liked to rat them out too, unfortunately. Still, it was relatively harmless. Grace was getting better at making up swear words instead of using the actual ones. "You did ask me, but that's okay. I'm glad to hear you're doing well too. I try to get out a run a bit every day if I can. Some days are a bit more chaotic than others. Are you actually working at the barbecue on Sunday or do you get to go and enjoy it in a social capacity?"
