Marco watched Chloe, briefly mirroring her pout when she noticed that that was what she was doing. To add to her distraction, he pointed towards his desk. "Hey, I have a fidget spinner up there, if you wanna play with that. You like fidget spinners, right?" He looked up at Grace. "Kids like fidget spinners, right?"
He grabbed another few french fries as Grace spoke, and he nodded along, if just to show that he was listening. "Oh, is school out already? Shit, I didn't even know." His eyes went a little wide as he remembered the child standing there, then tried to correct his language. "Uh, poop, I mean." There. Nailed it. He smiled apologetically before he continued. "I'm doing okay, outside. You know, getting some flying in every morning, and that usually clears my head, so, I mean, the usual. How about you? Er, did I ask that already?"
