Who: Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange
When: Tuesday evening
Where: A village in Maramures
What: Bella finally gets to do some muggle-hunting
Rating: Violence, undoubtedly
Status: In-progress

Bellatrix was clearly restless. As if setting half their camp on fire wasn't enough of an indication of that fact. But she was sick and tired of sitting around the camp just waiting for a vampire who would be willing to lead them to the castle. Clearly that was not going to happen so she decided it was long past time to take matters into her own hands. And that meant delivering dinner to the vampires. It may not have been the most rational of plans, but well, Bellatrix had never been accused of rationality in the first place.

Just before sundown, Bellatrix scribbled a quick message in her journal to the other Death Eaters and donned her heaviest cloak before stalking out of her tent. She did not particularly need company for this expedition - at least she didn't believe she did, although a more sane person would definitely question the wisdom of walking right up to a nest of vampires alone. But there was at least a small part of her twisted mind that recognized the fact that this would undoubtedly be easier with accompaniment.

That did not mean she was going to wait long, however. She was quite serious about the five minutes she was willing to wait before setting off to the nearby village to find some Muggles who would make a suitable dinner. And even waiting that long was going to be a challenge as she was already fidgeting with her cloak and pacing small circles in front of her tent. Aside from Rodolphus, there was not a useful one in the lot of them as far as she was concerned.

"Of course," Bellatrix replied in answer to his question of whether he could kill the suffering Muggle. Once they were broken, they were no use to her any longer and her attention had moved on to the burning houses. Just like a child's toy that had been cast aside in favour of something newer and shinier.

"Since I started. They were the first two I attacked," she explained, although a glance in Rodolphus's direction revealed that he had already taken off after the fleeing Muggles. She smiled, watching him until he disappeared into the trees before turning her attention back to her own toys. Rodolphus was more than capable of taking care of himself and well, she had never really shared his appreciation for running after their prey.

Leaving the little area where she had stationed herself for her target practice, Bellatrix stepped over the corpse of one of the Muggles and swiftly walked towards one of the houses (making sure to choose one that wasn't too close to the spreading fire.) This was what she preferred. Storming into their houses, kicking down their doors and watching the expressions of sheer terror that invariably crossed their face. She liked to corner them, to trap them with nowhere to run like the little rats that they were.

Blasting off the door, she swept into the house and flashed a thoroughly malicious smile at the couple that was huddled in the corner of their small living room. "Hello," she greeted sweetly as she tilted her head and studied the two, trying to decide just what to do with them. Finally she gave a couple of quick waves of her wand and they were pinned on opposite walls from each other, unable to move and forced to watch whatever torments Bellatrix decided to inflict on them. And to start she decided she would just make them bleed. Another flick of her wand and a series of long, shallow gashes appeared across the man's chest as both of them screamed - one in pain, the other in horror. And Bellatrix could definitely tell the difference.
