Mila had been nervous to announce the pregnancy to Aaron's family, though the anxiety wasn't as near as bad as it was when she pictured sitting her parents down to tell them the news. She was hoping to push that off as long as she could. But Aaron was excited, so she didn't want him to have to hold it in any longer, especially since Caden and Roxy already knew.
There were lingering feelings of bitterness and anger whenever she was around Gavin and Caden, but for the most part she was able to keep the negative emotion beneath the surface while they were there. And thankfully, people seemed happy for them. Cautiously happy, at least. She accepted hugs and well wishes from Charlie and Kat, laughing a little when Amelia said she wouldn't babysit.
More than anything else, she was happy to see that Gavin was embracing Aaron. She knew how important Gavin's approval meant to Aaron, and with everything that had happened in the past few months... maybe it meant the family could start healing properly.
