Gavin had taken a short break from the grill to sit down with his guests and grab a bite for himself. Everyone had plenty of food but he was feeling a little antsy and like he should be cooking more - just in case - so he kept eyeing everyone's food just to make sure their plates were full. When Aaron stood up he didn't know what to expect, certainly not the words that came out of his mouth and they felt a bit like a punch in the gut. He and Caden had ended Mila's first pregnancy and that was still a heavy burden he had to live with so whatever feelings he had about her being pregnant again were compounded with the guilt. Aaron and Mila looked happy and he remembered all too well the last time he spoke to Mila and how harsh he'd been with her. Things had changed, they were in a better place and he knew it. He'd also lost both his kids though Amelia had come back to him. He stared at Aaron, somewhat expressionless save for the hint of tears welling up in his eyes, then he got up after Charlie and moved over to his little brother. "Congratulations," he muttered, wrapping one arm around him while holding his plate away with his free hand. Maybe it wasn't a good thing, maybe it'd all go wrong again but he had no right to an opinion on that. He was in a better position to help this time and if he'd learned anything by now it was that family mattered more than all the other petty bullshit he worried about.
