There was seriously nothing more annoying than when she was irritated with him and he laughed at her. It only pushed the irritation to a pissed off level, because it felt like a mixture of him making her feel stupid, and clearly not caring that she was annoyed. Because that was their whole Thing - Not Caring about anything about the other person. Jules rolled her eyes and made a disgusted sort of noise in her throat before she shook her head. "Just shut up." She didn't want to learn how to do laundry. Although she nearly took him up on the faux-offer, just so punish him for being a jerk. She would take him to her house and make him legit teach her how to do the fucking laundry and pretend to be stupid and not Get It, just to waste time they could have been using to screw in her bedroom. "You're so annoying," she muttered, looking out the window again.
Insults and ‘just shut up’ always felt like a victory when they sniped at each other, and Jasper grinned through the windshield. It meant he might not get any dirty pictures later, and maybe he ruined her desire to masturbate in the shower, but whatever. It was done now, and Jasper knew it wouldn’t be long before she was in his text messages again. No matter how mad he made her, she always came back. And vice versa, but he didn’t like to think about it so much in the opposite direction. Jasper shut up and let her pout though, staying quiet until they were pulling back into the Joyland parking lot. He pulled around to the side of the building again and parked. After making sure nobody was around, he leaned over toward her, tugging lightly on her arm. “C’mere,” he murmured.
If she hadn't been feeling the residual effects from the weed, Jules might have had the energy to find something of his in the car and toss it out the window, just to be a Bitch. But while she was irritated with him, she was also feeling lazy and sated from the weed and sex, so she just sat there and scowled, doing her best not to cross her arms against her chest in a defensive gesture. She really hated it when Jasper knew he'd annoyed her, but it wasn't like Jules was a hard person to read. It was easier when he annoyed her and she annoyed him and they either yelled at each other, or drove in silence. His amusement was way worse than both of those things. He was so not getting any nude pics later. Probably. When they parked, Jules grabbed her bag from the floor board and was ready to get out of his car and slam his car door. But then he was pulling gently on her arm and Jules resisted weakly for a moment before huffing and rolling her eyes as she looked at him. "What," she said shortly, making it very clear she was Still Annoyed.
He had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from grinning at her again, but that was at least partly the weed’s fault. Jules was hot when she was mad, but he knew she hated it when he pointed that out, or giggled at her. He usually just let her go on hating it, but she’d done him a solid and vastly improved his night, so he guessed he could be decent to her for a minute. “C’mon, don’t be mad,” he murmured. He couldn’t reach her to kiss her cheek, so Jasper pulled one of her hands up and smooched the back of it. “I’m glad I ran into you. I was having a super shitty day and you made it better, so. Thanks for that.” He kissed the inside of her wrist before he let her go and sat back. Jasper kind of wanted to ask her to text him when she got home to let him know she made it okay -- she didn’t drive around stoned as much as he did, he knew -- but bit that back. They didn’t Care, it was their Thing, right?
