Spence didn't want her to be sorry for anything, but it didn't feel right to dismiss her apologies. He didn't want to make her feel worse than she already seemed to. He smiled faintly and reached up to touch his bare cheek again. Honestly, he already missed his beard and shaggy hair. He felt a bit... unlike himself now. But it was necessary for a job interview, and Roxy seemed to like it, so it was what it was. "Thanks and yeah, I'll definitely let you know how it goes. Thanks for helping m-me. I would've showed up tomorrow looking like a disaster." Spence watched her get her things, and he moved to help her.
“You’re welcome.” Roxy almost apologized for not going shopping with him, but that seemed insignificant at the moment. The man could buy himself a shirt and tie. She just needed to get out of there, get somewhere she could clear her head and think. Plan. Because that was what she was doing ... right? Yes, she had to. This had just been the kick in the ass she needed to get her moving. Roxy got her coat back on and went to the door. “I’ll text you, okay?” she said once she was there and ready to head out. Roxy took her bag from Spence and tried to quell the urge to just run out the door and to her car. She hesitated, just looking at his face, then turned to go. “Bye Spence.”
Spence wasn't worried about the shirt and tie. He would get one, or borrow one from his dad, which he probably could have just done in the first place. But this had never really been about the actual interview, and Spence knew it. He followed her to do the door, feeling like he ought to apologize again, even if he didn't know what for. So he nodded and opened the door for her, resisting the urge to reach out and take her hand. He just wanted her to know she had support, and that he would do whatever she needed him to do to help her. "Bye Roxy. Just... I'll see you soon."
